The basis of my approach comes from the understanding that at the heart of all people lies a primal longing to be fully seen, accepted, and loved by another person. When that need isn’t met for us as children rarely are we able to truly accept ourselves as adults. This leads to all sorts of difficulties because we can never fully relax into the comfort of “self”. We are perpetually seeking things from our partners, careers, parents, social media, and friends to validate us in a way that will resolve our deep rooted insecurities. Unfortunately, this never works and often damages relationships along the way. While dysfunction may have been created in childhood or from subsequent trauma, until can recognize that these struggles have become internally generated, we will continue to suffer believing we are at the mercy of everything “happening to us”. Working one on one with me is the beginning of building a restorative relationship. Science shows us that relationships have the power to change our brains. My approach centers on building a strong and meaningful relationship that provides the safety you’ll need to explore the depths of what causes your distress. This approach is grounded in the understanding that mutually satisfying relationships are essential to well-being and can override traumatic imprints from childhood. Combined with body awareness, and honest analysis I offer a grounding relationship that aims to provide a nourishing corrective experience. Our relationship will help you learn how to forgive those who have hurt you, repair relationships that need your attention, and ultimately accept yourself for who you truly are. This kind of freedom allows you to naturally become more alive, confident, joyful, and available to create the life and relationships you are yearning for.
